International Day for Sharing with Vicki Psarias
Wednesday the 20th was a hive of activity for many people, with A levels and GCSE's taking over many Club Flixers lives. So when Club Flix announced that we were organising another Q and A session, the response was fantastic. Not just because of the escape from constant revision but because we were lucky enough to welcome Vicki Psarias. Vicki Psarias is an award winning filmmaker who received the 4Talent Award for Best Filmmaker at the end of 2007. Amongst others, for her British Cypriot short films Rifts and Broken. During the evening Vicki screened some of her work, including Broken, Rifts and a shorter film she made on a Budget of £15. The night also gave the chance for all those who attended to gain valuable advice and ideas on their future career. Certain members of the audience could hardly hold back the mountain of questions and Vicki was only too happy to respond with the same level of enthusiasm.
The entire night was a great success and it was fantastic to see so many enthusiastic young film makers turn up. A big thank you to everyone who attended and an even bigger thank you to Vicki.
