Club Flix Pitching Event WINNERS!

Club Flix's Pitching event, held at Invention Studios in Bath in February 2008 was a huge success. Local young filmmakers pitched to an audience and panel of industry professionals for the chance to win one of two bursaries to get their films made.

The winner of the Judge's Bursary Award was Pasha Ball, age 14 and from Bath. His film pitcher, The Invaders was a short comedy which mixed live action with stop frame animation.

The winners of the Audience Bursary Award were the RAA Production Team from Bath: Joe Aldous, Alex Richardson, Jack Bailey, Kit Jones, Michael Bessell and Henry Gale. Their film Findin' Captain Nemo Volume 2 is a sequel stop frame animation.

Check out the films on the showcase page.

As both of the films featured stop frame animation Club Flix organised for them to have an animation workshop with a freelance animation professional who has worked extensively for Aardman (Wallace and Grommit, Shaun the Sheep).
